Renorbis was founded in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, with a vision to vastly improve and automate processes in a wide scale of industries.
Moved by the Japanese strive for perfection (こだわり), our mission is to be a key player in the next AI-led industrial revolution (Industry 5.0) by focusing on efficient, practical, and scalable intelligence at the edge.
We aim to move beyond large-scale models and unlock real-world AI applications where latency, energy efficiency, cost, privacy, and adaptability matter most. By leveraging lightweight neural networks, we seek to make AI affordable, fast, and reliable—empowering industries yet to realize its full potential.
Rooted in the European AI strategy, we drive vertical AI integration through edge-based pilots, unlocking safer and more efficient processes across manufacturing, agriculture, and mining.
Message from the Founder
“After years of research in neural networks, Edge-AI and neuromorphic computing, I’ve come to believe that the future of AI lies in breakthroughs inspired by natural science and biology. Yet, during my experiences in the Netherlands and Japan, I believe that many real-world AI applications remain untapped—not due to technical limitations, but because the industry’s focus has been on the use of extremely large models, which has driven economic growth and stock surges.
Another opportunity, I believe, lies at the edge where AI operates close to sensors and actuators. Here, rather than versatility, energy efficiency, cost, privacy, and adaptability reign supreme. At Renorbis, we believe in the R&D of nimble foundation models based on the state of the art that can be tuned to customer demand and deployed on hardware that is extremely affordable.
As founder, I strongly believe in the prospect of complete automation of industries on a global scale traversing Europe and Japan and its subsequent benefit for the entire world.”
